Outreach is Us

The Transport Team has an active outreach program that is geared to a myriad of health care professionals. Listed below is a sampling of classes and topics. Classes

Transport Readiness for Respiratory Therapists This offering is available in either a full-day or half-day format. It is an intermediate level class specifically designed for respiratory therapists who assist in stabilization, management and/or preparation of neonatal and pediatric patients for transport.

Transport Readiness & The Newborn Patient

This half day, intermediate level course is intended for newborn nurses practicing in community hospital settings. It is designed to provide up-to-date information on assessment, stabilization and transport of high-risk neonates.

Transport Readiness & The Pediatric Patient

This is also an intermediate level class that is available in both a full day or half-day format. It is designed to provide information on assessment, stabilization, interim care and transport readiness for nurses working with pediatric patients.

Taming the Paperwork Tiger

Join us at your facility during shift exchange for donuts and coffee for this one-hour class. We tour one of the Riley Children's Health Mobile Intensive Care Unit and review completion of paperwork in preparation for Transport. This class is specifically designed for staff who complete consents and prepare paperwork for transport.

Lunch Time Topics

These offering are designed for all health care professionals working in newborn and pediatric settings. They are approximately 45 minutes to one hour in length and are intended for lunchtime or staff meeting settings.
