Their mission is "to enhance the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS." Their website offers a wealth of information coming from 34 printable fact sheets concerning nausea, wasting, commonly prescribed medications, food and drug interactions, complimentary therapies, vegetarianism, blood pressure, getting enough fiber and protein in your diet, soft foods, a list of healthy and easy receipes, and much more addressing issues of concern specifically tailored to meet the needs of individuals with HIV/AIDS.

The Food and Nurtrition Information Center (FNIC) is a part of both the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Agricultural Research Service (ARS). Since 1971 the organization's mission has been "to collect and disseminate information about food and human nutrition." The FNIC SPONSORS A PAGE CONCERNING HIV/AIDS and Nutrition containing A Practical Guide to Nutrition for Persons Living with HIV Disease as well as nutrition resources written in English, Spanish, and French.
