You don't want to miss this unique opportunity to learn and feel more confident about providing safe and individualized care for the child with diabetes. The focus will be on the skills necessary for appropriate care.

This program is presented by a nurse and dietitian both certified in diabetes education. The program can be presented at your location and be customized to accommodate you audience needs.

10:10-10:30-----Hypoglycemia-Log book use
10:30-11:30-----Nutrition and meal planning
11:30-11:40-----Blood sugar testing
11:40-12:30-----Lunch - Making the right choices

PM session
12:30-1:00------Gathering the right information-First Aid
1:00-1:30-------Insulin mixing and administration
1:30-1:40-------Break
1:40-2:30-------Evaluating what was learned

Caring for the Child with Diabetes is presented quarterly Cost for the program is $10.00 per person, with lunch provided. Checks should be made payable to: Methodist Health Foundation.

Directions to the Methodist Diabetes Center

From I-65, exit onto 21st Street, turn east, and proceed to Capitol Avenue. Turn right and follow to the Medical Tower Building, 1633 N. Capitol, where parking is available. Take the parking garage elevator to the 1st floor, and follow the signs to the lobby area. From the lobby, take the elevator to the 3rd floor and walk across the Skywalk. At the end of the Skywalk, you will take another elevator to the 4th floor and check in at room B444.
