The Right Question

During this training session, parents and caregivers are taught how to ask the "right question" for healthcare, education, and sports activities for children.

Special Care Sitter

Sponsoring department:  Community Education
This program provides training, resources, and information on providing babysitting care for children with disabilities or special health care needs.  The class is open to teens who have graduated from a Safe Sitter program or other comparable babysitting program.  Instructor classes are offered quarterly, and a core of trained instructors is available in the central Indiana area to conduct Special Care Sitter classes on a regional basis.

Participating departments: Community Education and Riley Child Development Center

Core Curriculum training
Staff from Riley Child Development provides training to community providers and families interested in becoming First Steps early intervention service providers.  The training consists of Orientation to First Steps and Service Coordination training.

Topical Issues training
Staff from Riley Child Development provides coordination of training events for training on six topics relating to early childhood issues.
